SoundTransit 2 Line Grand Opening

Calendar/Event Details

On Saturday, April 27, passengers are in for a day full of special events!

Starting at 10 a.m. at Bellevue Downtown Station, Sound Transit and the Bellevue Downtown Association will kick off the celebrations with a public ribbon-cutting event. At around 11 a.m., the ribbon will officially be cut and passengers will be welcomed onboard the new 2 Line for the very first time. Need a ride? From 8:30 – 11 a.m. there will be a bus shuttle every 20 minutes from South Bellevue Station, in addition to the regular ST Express 550, at Bay 3 to get you to Bellevue Transit Center.

From 11 a.m. – 4 p.m., riders can hop on the 2 Line from the South Bellevue and Redmond Technology Stations and enjoy a range of community events at each of the eight new stations. You’ll find everything from a bouncy house, food trucks, bike helmet giveaways, live music, fire trucks to a live and interactive mural painting.

See below for a station-by-station breakdown to help plan your day. And don't forget to play Discover. Stamp. Win! along the way.
