April 2021

It’s been more than a year since the coronavirus pandemic made its conspicuous landing in our backyard, utterly upending life as we knew it.

During this time of great sacrifice, loss and threat, we’ve been witness to the remarkable ability of humans to rise heroically and resiliently to the challenges facing them. In years to come, when we reflect back on this crazy time, we will remember and regale the truly heroic efforts of our essential and frontline workers (please show your appreciation for them) and exemplary individuals whose endeavors and innovations helped turn the tide (read about one such person here).

But we should also remember the type of everyday heroism exhibited by the multitude of us who continue to follow public health guidelines that protect us and others from harm. Stick to this safe course — the end is in sight!
