Susan Cain has sparked a national conversation about introverts, who comprise a third to a half of every classroom and workplace.  Her book, Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can't Stop Talking was an instant New York Times bestseller and one of the most talked about books of 2012.

Cain's TED talk garnered a standing ovation and smashed a first-week record with over a million views with her argument that our culture holds a bias toward the Extrovert Ideal (the alpha personality—gregarious and highly verbal) while undervaluing the strengths of introverts (reflectiveness, persistence, and sensitivity), and how much we lose in doing so.

In this unique lecture, Cain will focus on the special qualities of quiet kids, how they are often misunderstood and under-valued, offering ways parents and educators can help them meet their potential.
