One of the bigger farmers markets in the area, the University District Farmers Market has tons of produce options from many local farms. It also boasts mushroom offerings from foragers, as well as organic dairy, meat and eggs.

Columbia City Farmers Market is super close to Columbia Park, so we suggest you bring your picnic basket and make a day of it! As you’d expect, the market itself includes fresh food and — bonus! — fun events. 

Lake City Farmers Market is smaller than the Ballard market, but readers assure us it’s still worth a trip. Kids will love the nearby field and play structure.
