The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) wants to hear from you. They're holding a meeting July 12 from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Shoreline Conference Center to get public input on how decisions should be made regarding the vaccination schedule for children. The meeting will focus on getting views and opinions on what issues should be considered when deciding if and how vaccines should be added to the childhood immunization series.
Currently, the immunization schedule is set by the CDC, the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American Academy of Pediatrics, and is based on recommendations from the national Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices.
If you'd like to attend the meeting, you must preregister and plan to stay for the entire meeting. Participants may be eligible for a $75 stipend. Register online or call 1-866-276-7083.
