Elsa, Anna, Mickey, Moana ... they're all skating into town soon to entertain you and your family. After a very long dry spell in terms of entertainment, live shows are beginning again.
“Disney on Ice: Dream Big” makes two stops near Seattle this fall, and families ready for a show will want to know that tickets are on sale now.
- “Disney on Ice” plays at the ShoWare Center in Kent, Oct. 27–Nov. 1. Buy tickets for Kent performances.
- The same show plays at Angel of the Winds Arena in Everett, Nov. 4–7. Buy tickets for Everett performances.
If you're a little puzzled as to why humans ice skating while dressed up as animated movie characters is a thing, I recommend just going with it. Your kids will be thrilled to see all their favorite characters, you'll hear all the songs you love, and the skating is impressive.
Two important things for families to know:
- Ticket prices vary a bit, by venue and by date of the performance, but plan to spend upwards of $150 for a family of four — much more for the best seats. Tickets start around $30, and there are several different types of fees added on. Everyone ages 2 and older needs a ticket. Age 1 and younger enter free, if seated on a lap.
- Strict COVID-19 safety protocols will be enforced, so read them carefully in advance so you know what's required. Masks are required by both venues for all guests ages 5 and older, and encouraged for ages 3–4. ShoWare Center requires proof of vaccination or a negative PCR test within 72 hours of the event. This requirement applies only to guests ages 12 and older. Note that requirements could change at any time, based on city, county, state or venue rules.
If your kids get the skating bug, book a session at the new Kraken Community Iceplex to give it a try. Our pro tips for teaching kids to skate can help.
