Now that baseball season is over, Safeco Field is getting ready to turn into… an ice-skating rink! Instead of rooting for the Mariners, families can head to the ballpark to glide on an ice-skating trail decked out with festive light sculptures. (Tip: Get your family ready to skate with our expert ice-skating tips!)

It’s all part of Enchant Christmas, which makes its Seattle debut this year. The event runs from Nov. 23 to Dec. 30 at Safeco Field. In addition to ice skating, families can also try out a Christmas light maze, listen to live music and shop a holiday market with lots of gift ideas and gourmet food.

Of course, no Christmas event is complete without a visit with the big guy himself. You can take pictures with Santa at Santa’s Landing, and stop in for story time with Mrs. Claus.

Enchant Christmas is loosely based around a story about Santa’s missing reindeer, titled "The Great Search." In the light maze, help Santa find all nine of his reindeer to save Christmas.

The event is produced by Shine Lighting Group, a Christmas light company based in Vancouver, B.C.
