Wiggle me this. Preschooler heartthrobs The Wiggles are back this month, along with all their friends, with The Wiggly Circus Live! As always, kids are encouraged to make a sign, dress up as their favorite Wiggle (or Wiggle pal) and make sure that Jeff stays awake onstage. The band performs at Comcast Arena in Everett on Saturday, Oct. 9, at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Tickets are $10–$75 (if you’re feeling extravagant, a $75 VIP tickets gets you great seats and a chance to dance with the boys onstage). comcastarenaeverett.com

Sheep bop. The spotlight is on working dogs and the people who love them at the Vashon Classic Sheepdog Trials, a rare chance to watch smart, competent dogs herd sheep in a “kind but forthright way that is as efficient as possible.” (Sounds like a good formula for raising children.) Bring a picnic or buy food on site, and don’t miss the fiber art displays — carding, spinning, weaving, knitting — by the Vashon Spinners Rock Fiber Artists. Trials are held at Misty Isle Farms on Vashon Island, Friday–Sunday, Oct. 1–3, dawn to dusk. Admission is $5, ages 12 and younger free. vashonsheepdogclassic.com
