Everything in this town focuses on the 55-mile-long, glacier-fed lake of the same name. To get the lay of the lake, a boat tour on the Lady of the Lake to the remote village of Stehekin makes all kinds of memories. While in Stehekin, have a world-famous cinnamon roll at the bakery, take a hike, look for hidden waterfalls and check out the one-room schoolhouse. Bonus: There's no cell service so teens and tweens won’t have anything else to do.
Another trip down where-your-food-comes-from lane will have you picking seasonal berries at Blueberry Hills. There's a farmhouse-style restaurant, fruit stand and country gift shop to explore, plus the farm encourages dogs to visit, too.
Slidewaters, a water park with an Aqua Zoo, indoor arcade and of course, concessions, can’t be beat for splashing and soaking.
