1. Pregnant skeleton

Mom Laura at Phar-Ma has a fabulous DIY idea for dressing your baby bump this Halloween. This pregnant skeleton costume looks so great, it’s hard to believe it’s homemade!

To make your own, you’ll need a cotton black shirt and pants, freezer paper, pencil, craft knife, iron, paint brush and white fabric paint. Check out the post for the full how-to, including tips on cutting and ironing the stencils to perfection. Make one for your husband and little one for a whole skeleton family!

2. Batter up

This adorable couple’s costume hits it out of the park! Make your bump the focal point by cutting a hole in a baseball shirt — then break out the body paint, white pants, bat and baseball glove to complete the look. Costume creator Nina said the glove is to catch the ball (their daughter).

3. Juno & Paulie

Don’t have a lot of time to make a fancy costume? This pop-culture inspired getup can be thrown together in a matter of minutes! Dad Matt and mom Erin won “best couple’s costume” at their Halloween bash when they went dressed as Juno & Paulie from the movie Juno. Bonus: They pulled it all together the night of the party using casual clothes they already owned!

4. Maternity cow and farmer

At nine-months pregnant, Amber wrangled her husband for this country costume that’s both cute and comfortable. To create the belly, Amber used stretchy pink fabric that she sewed onto a long-sleeve black shirt. White fabric simulates the cow spots and nipples from baby bottles were sewn onto the pink fabric.

Dress your guy in classic Wrangler jeans, a plaid shirt and cowboy hat — don’t forget the pitchfork for the perfect photo-op!

5. Pregnant Jack-o'-lantern

How cute (and simple!) is this jack-o'-lantern tee from Amazon? Bonus: you can wear it throughout October (a nice perk, since we know how limited the options can be when you're stuck with the same rotating maternity shirts).
