Music Review: Elizabeth Mitchell, "Sunny Day"

sunny-dayPour yourself a glass of wine, let the kids help you make dinner, and turn on Elizabeth Mitchell’s new album "Sunny Day". A little bit country, a strong dollop of folk, and very honest, Mitchell’s beautiful voice carries another album into my “must have” category. With songs like "Fairy Tale Lullaby" and "Tsuki", "Sunny Day" is a pleasingly mellow album, perfect for that precious hour before the kids hit the sack. As a bonus, the CD comes with a booklet that tells the personal story behind each song. Best reason to listen: To start your day off right, or end it on a musical note. All ages but probably most popular up to age 8.

Available October 5, 2010.
