Parents’ Night Out! Drop-Off Evening Child Care Around Seattle
Eastside parents’ night out offerings
Adventure Kids Playcare (Bellevue, Issaquah)
This drop-in play care center offers extended hours six days per week, making it especially attractive for adventurous day dates with your partner or friends (hiking at an adult pace or paddle boarding, anyone?).
Ages: 6 weeks–12 years

The Ridge Activity Center (Bothell)
If your kids can’t get enough of this forest-themed indoor play area during an epic day outing, drop them off for a fun-filled night out. Parents’ night out events aren’t a regular offering at the moment, but if you don’t see one on the calendar, drop in for play during evening hours and at least enjoy a beverage from the café and some adult convo while the kids play independently.
Ages: 4–10
Price: $45 per child
Time: 5–9 p.m. on select Fridays
Samena Swim & Tennis Club (Bellevue)
This athletic facility, popular for its swimming lessons, also offers two parents’ night out care options. Quarterly Preschool PJ Nights include dinner, story time, crafts and a cartoon movie for potty-trained kids. Older kids can attend a monthly Kids’ Night Out that features pizza, swimming, games and a movie. Also watch for occasional longer Kids’ Night Away events that include an off-site field trip.
Ages: ages 5–12 (5-year-olds must be in kindergarten)
Price: $64 per nonmember child and $52 per member.
Time: One Friday per month, 6:30–10 p.m.
Arena Sports (Issaquah)
Two of Arena Sports’ locations currently offer a Parents’ Night Out so your kids can bounce the night away (fueled by pizza, of course) while you head out for dinner. Can’t make the timing work out quite right? Schedule a family date instead at Issaquah’s new Family Entertainment Center.
Ages: 3–12
Price: $60 per child; $50 for each additional child
Time: 4–8 p.m. Check the website for dates.
Pacific Reign Gymnastics (Woodinville)
This gym is located near Woodinville’s town center, so catch a movie or go wine tasting while your kids enjoy games, snacks and pizza. Dress them comfortably (think leotards or shorts and a T-shirt with long hair pulled back) and pack a water bottle — they’ll be active!
Ages: 4–12
Price: $80 per participant
Time: Two Saturdays each month, 5–9 p.m.
Old Fire House Teen Center (Redmond)
About once a quarter, Redmond Parks and Recreation hosts a very affordable parents' night out (book well in advance — these sell out quickly). Kids can choose from crafts, board games, foosball, air hockey and more before chowing down on the included food and drinks. You don’t even have to move the car for date night — walk from the Teen Center to your pick of multiple restaurants nearby.
Ages: 4–10
Price: $28 per non-Redmond resident child; $25 per Redmond resident
Time: One Saturday per quarter, 5–8 p.m.
Redmond Art Works (Redmond)
Have a budding artist in your family? Make sure they've eaten dinner and then drop them off at this studio where art teachers will guide them through themed art projects.
Ages: 4–12
Price: $40 per child; 10% multi-student/sibling discount applied at registration
Time: One Saturday night per month, 5–7 p.m.
Northwest Aerials (Redmond)
While technically in Redmond, this gym is less than 10 minutes away from south Woodinville wineries and five minutes away from Kirkland’s Village at Totem Lake shopping center. Needless to say, you’ll have a number of options to entertain yourself while your kids get out their energy in the gym. They'll also enjoy crafts, games and pizza.
