Swings, an obstacle course, a climbing wall, a spiral slide, a pretend storefront, the fan favorite TriRunner — do not try to make a quick stop at Emma Yule Park’s wow-worthy playground! That would only end in some kind of unpleasant battle of wills. This colorful, beautiful park in Everett opened in summer 2022 and became an instant hit, worthy of a visit even if you don’t live in Everett.

For adventurous play, the smaller-scale climbing wall challenges preschoolers while the obstacle course gets older kids concentrating on how to best navigate it. Rainbow butterflies give the whole playground a bright and cheery vibe.

The hands-down favorite piece of equipment, the unique pièce de résistance here, is the TriRunner. Here’s how our expert playground writer described it: “A carousel plus zip line combo reminiscent of the spinning swing rides at a fair.” Sound intriguing? Trust us, just go try it out!

Location: 4817 Rucker Ave. in Everett.

Next stop: Gene Coulon Memorial Beach Park
