How to find a good book

One of my favorite things about browsing a brick-and-mortar bookstore is the popular "staff picks" section available at most locally owned shops. Often bookstore staff and owners are bibliophiles — they read a lot and notice what books are trending very quickly. Because of that, I’ve found that their picks rarely disappoint. Whether you’re searching for books to read over the holiday or looking for new reads for your holiday gift list, we’ve got you covered.

We asked local bookstore owner Jenny Cole, of Page 2 Books in Burien, for her top book picks for 2018. Her answers are sure to inspire some great gift ideas and help you add a few new books to your own reading list for 2019, too.
