Located in the Pinehurst neighborhood of North Seattle, Billings Middle School is a dynamic learning community intentionally designed to stretch, support, and inspire early adolescents through experiential education. We are a co-educational, stand-alone middle school with a whole-child approach to challenging academics and personal growth.

Billings students learn, do, and create in an environment where they stretch into academic inquiry and challenge with support from their teachers, advisors, and peers. Project-based learning and experiences outside of the classroom provide students with opportunities to apply learning to real life, and to explore the interests and passions that inspire them.

Students experiment with science in fun and inspiring places such as the Kraken Community Iceplex and the UW Chemistry Lab, integrate humanities and art in local houses of worship and museums, and explore astonishing outdoor locations like Deception Pass, Mt. St Helens, and the Olympic Coast. When middle school students stretch themselves in new contexts, they build personal resilience, confidence, and friendships that last a lifetime.
