2024 Bite of PhinneyWood

Calendar/Event Details

Sun, Sep. 15 @ 1:00 p.m.–5:00 p.m.

The Phinney Neighborhood Association (PNA) is thrilled to announce the return of its annual event, the Bite of PhinneyWood, taking place on Sunday, September 15, from 1-5pm in the PNA lower parking lot. This much-anticipated event invites community members to indulge in culinary delights from up to 20 local restaurants while celebrating the vibrant and growing food scene of the Greenwood and Phinney Ridge neighborhoods.

Since its inception in 2022, the Bite of PhinneyWood has been a resounding success, drawing sold-out crowds each year—500 tickets in 2022 and 700 in 2023. The inaugural event exceeded expectations, raising over $25,000 to support PNA’s vital programs serving Northwest Seattle at four locations across the Phinney, Greenwood, and Ballard neighborhoods.

"We just moved to Phinney and loved this event. It was perfect for a newbie to try out all the restaurants and find favorites! It's the best neighborhood-hosted event we have ever been to," shared a delighted attendee from last year’s event.

This year, the Bite of PhinneyWood is set to impress once again, featuring a wide array of local culinary talents, including 2023 Best Bite awardee Petit Pierre and community favorite Mr. Gyros, whose restaurant was tragically destroyed in a 2016 gas explosion. Other participating eateries include FlintCreek, Autumn, The Dark Room, The Orcas Project, Valhalla Sandwiches, Mainstay Provisions, La Rocca Pizzeria, Coffeeholic House, Bluebird Ice Cream, Wild Mountain Cafe, Ruby, and more.

The PNA is especially excited to welcome Renee Erickson’s newest venture, Lioness, to this year’s event. Opened in January just a stone’s throw from the PNA, this Italian-influenced, wine-focused restaurant has already garnered acclaim and promises to delight attendees with its offerings.

The event will also feature a Beer and Wine Garden, seamlessly integrated into the overall event space, with contributions from Doe Bay Winery, Lucky Envelope Brewing, and Yonder Cider, making it a family-friendly gathering with something for everyone.

Tickets are available on the Bite of PhinneyWood event page. Proceeds from the event will benefit the PNA’s community services and programs, including the Hot Meal Program, Whittier Kids, and the PNA Tool Library.
