Celebrate the return of the salmon! Join us for Kitsap Salmon Tours at three locations on Chico Creek. Beginning at 10 am salmon experts will be on hand for salmon viewing at Chico Salmon Park. Then view returning salmon and recent restoration work at the mouth of Chico Creek. Salmon experts also will lead walks in the Chico Creek watershed to view the migration and spawning of salmon at the Mountaineers Foundation Rhododendron Preserve. This 1.5 mile RT walk over sometimes steep terrain also provides an opportunity to view the largest Douglas fir in Kitsap County. Children are welcome. Walks begin at 10, 11, noon and 1.
