For the United Way Day of Caring in the Magnuson Children’s Garden and P-Patch. Learn how to prepare a garden and its plants to thrive throughout the fall and winter months!
Each stewardship event includes hands-on education and guidance from King County Master Gardeners and other experienced gardeners, plenty of tasks that are easy for novice gardeners or children to accomplish, as well as some complex tasks for those who want a more advanced gardening experience. Tools, gloves, and refreshments are provided for all volunteers, and all events qualify as student service-learning. Free, guided nature exploration and art activities for kids ages 2-12 are part of many events too, so that the whole family can participate!
