Michael Albert is a New York artist who for over a decade has been creating his singular form of pop art known as "cerealism". Utilizing recycled packaging from food items, candy, and other mass consumables, Albert fashions them into text based works. The Declaration of Independence, Gettysburg Address, and The Preamble rise through the detritus of corporate logos and commercial brand advertising. Pop art and pop tarts merge into a style that has the loose form of graffiti, with a wry humor towards everyday mass consumption.
