Cascade Bicycle Club to Host Center Unveiling Party Saturday, Sept. 17.
The public event will celebrate the official completion of the Cascade Bicycling Center and will unveil its newest outdoor features to the public.
The event is free, open to the public and family friendly. It will feature fresh local ice cream treats, live music and the chance to tour the completed building space. The party will also feature a Kidical MASSive family ride to the event, helmet fitting and bicycle rodeo.
The new features round out the final touches to Cascade Bicycle Club’s headquarters at the north end of Magnuson Park, where the organization relocated in December 2014 after decades in another building within the park. The milestone marks the official close of Cascade Bicycle Club’s capital renovations. The planning and fundraising campaign for the renovated space began more than two years ago and resulted in more than $2 million in funds raised.

Traffic Garden, a small-scale, European-style streetscape—the first of its kind in Washington—where people can practice riding bikes in a safe and comfortable setting.
Fix-it Garage, a learning space where riders can stop and do their own quick fixes.
Ride Leader Welcome Pavilion, the new front welcoming space that offers plenty of seating, shade, water bottle fill-ups and more—all made possible through donations from the Cascade Ride Leader team.
