Warning — El Bibliobandido, the story-eating bandit, is on the loose! The Seattle Public Library is looking for fresh-baked stories to feed him. We invite children ages 7 to 11 to attend a hands-on workshop about bookmaking, science and storytelling at three Library locations in October.
Library events and programs are free and everyone is welcome. Registration is not required. Free parking is available at each Library branch.
These workshops are based on the legend of El Bibliobandido (or "Book Bandit"), a ravenous, story-eating bandit who pesters youth to write and offer him fresh-baked stories. Kids will learn storytelling through paper crafts, acting and digital story crafting.
Times and dates for the story workshops are as follows.
4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 27 at the South Park Branch, 8604 Eighth Ave. S., 206-615-1688.
4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 28 at the Southwest Branch, 9010 35th Ave. S.W., 206-684-7455.
4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29 at the Rainier Beach Branch, 9125 Rainier Ave. S., 206-386-1906.
