Bainbridge Weed Warriors will be hosting their annual Holly Takedown Friday, November 25th at IslandWood. This will kick off a year year long partnership between IslandWood and Weed Warriors in an effort to remove non-native, invasive plants from IslandWood's forest. Thank you Weed Warriors! English Holly (Ilex aquifolium) is a beautiful and festive plant, perfect for holiday decorating. It is also considered a noxious weed in Kitsap County that outcompetes our native plants, like Oregon Grape. We will remove the holly and bundle it with informational tags to give away in Winslow on Saturday, November 26th from 1 pm - 3 pm - just in time for the Holidays!
