Winter weather and tides push trash to the north side of Commencement Bay and onto local beaches, where it can harm wildlife and people alike. Lend a hand for the environment this MLK Day, by helping us removing plastic and other debris before it can impact the health of our waters!
Citizens for a Healthy Bay will provide gloves, supplies and refreshments. You just need waterproof / sturdy footwear and warm clothing. Rain or shine, we’re getting at it!
Please RSVP at rcruz@healthybay.org or (253) 383-2429 by January 12th!!
Should the weather turn problematic, we may have to re-schedule. If this happens, a notice will be posted on our website (healthybay.org), and we’ll email all who have RSVP’d.
This event is part of the Commencement Bay Stewardship Collaboration, a partnership between NRDA Trustees and Earthcorps.
