A very French tradition, the Galette des Rois is served at the family celebration for the Epiphany and inside the cake, is ‘la fève’ (which used to be a broad bean and is now a small trinket).
The traditional galette is a round cake with flaky puff pastry layers with a dense center of frangipane (filling made from or flavored with almonds.)
Our event will start with a story around the "galette" then we will cook galettes with different fillings. The parents are welcome to second their little one if needed.
The cooking class is open for 2-8 y.o children.
We will mix French and English during the class, so non-French speakers are more than welcome.
Children will cook for about 15 minutes; turn ON the oven, and let children play (we have a great outdoor space) while the parents enjoy tea time.
!!! If your little one has allergies to nuts, we will replace it with apple or banana.
