**Alternative Pathways to Parenting: A Conversation about Exploring Options and Renewing Hope**
//Part of a Community Education Series on family brought to you by Amara//

**March 2**: Focused on families who have experienced infertility and pregnancy loss

**March 18**: Focused on single and LGBTQ families

No matter who you are or where you are on your journey, you are invited to a very special workshop facilitated by family expert Suzi Mohn. You’ll have the opportunity to explore alternative paths to parenthood, share your story, and imagine a new way to build your family.

In this workshop…
 You’ll have a safe space to talk about the process and challenges that have led to your decision to explore alternative paths to parenting.
 You’ll gain a greater understanding about the strong emotions this process evokes.
 You’ll be able to explore your own emotional readiness to build your family through foster care and potential adoption.
 You’ll come away with specific questions to consider as you contemplate next steps.
 You'll discover tools and resources to support you on this new journey.
 You'll have the chance to connect with others who are walking the same path.

This workshop is open to everyone, regardless of age, gender, race, nationality, sexual orientation, faith, or marital status. This is simply an exploratory and educational workshop, so you are welcome and invited to attend no matter where you are on the journey. In fact, many people in various phases of family-building find significant comfort in understanding all of their options.
