Pachanga Alert! performs a lively blend of music from México, Cuba, Venezuela, Argentina & Colombia. Drawing on cumbia, salsa, vallenato, polka and nueva cancion, the ensemble uses lush harmonies and infectious rhythms to bring a fun, modern flair to the rich traditions of Latin American music. In addition to original pieces, the group offers creative arrangements of traditional songs and music by Lila Downs, Silvio Rodriguez, Beny More, Carlos Vives, Jorge Drexler, Mercedes Sosa, and more.
