The family-friendly tradition of Nutcracker Sweets returns to Seattle Center, Ballard/Crown Hill and Shoreline this December!
ARC Dance brings the magic of The Nutcracker alive for the community in this child-friendly version of this holiday classic ballet. Three weekends in three different venues including the return to the Cornish Playhouse, ARC Dance Performance Space and Shorewood Performing Arts Center.
This much-loved holiday ballet includes students of the School and professional dancers of ARC Dance Company. Our December 7th show returns to the Cornish Playhouse for a second year.
All Nutcracker Sweets performances at the ARC Dance Performance Space in Ballard have sold out for the past 19 years. “We are excited to bring back our ‘Fastest Nutcracker in the West,’ to Seattle Center (Cornish Playhouse) and Shoreline this year. It has been a joy to see the production grow and become a tradition for audience members in the north end,” said Artistic Director and Choreographer Marie Chong. Specifically designed to appeal to young audiences, with roughly a 90-minute-long running time, Nutcracker Sweets showcases students of the ARC School along with members of the professional ARC Dance Company. Audiences are captivated by the magic of the music, costumes, and beautiful dancing.
