Baseball Day at Imagine Children’s Museum with the Everett AquaSox

Calendar/Event Details

Learn how to hit one out of the park with AquaSox mascots, players, and staff in collaboration with Imagine Children’s Museum staff. Engage in playful learning about the sport of baseball at the newly renovated children’s museum. This community event at Imagine Children’s Museum takes place Saturday, August 5 from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. and is included with Museum admission or membership. Children must be accompanied by adults at all times in the Museum.

Activities for families include baseball-themed STEM stations, baseball art projects, player/mascot meet-and-greets, and more! All children in attendance will receive a complimentary ticket voucher to the game that night at Funko Field to watch the Everett AquaSox take on the Spokane Indians. Parents can purchase additional tickets for a discounted rate of $10.

Here’s a closer look at some of the activities available to children and their grown-ups:

Reaction Time: Test your reaction time to see if you can react fast enough to hit an AquaSox fastball!
Magnus Glider: What makes a curveball curve? Build a spinning toy that seems to float through the air.
Sweet Spots: Find the spot on the bat that maximizes energy to hit one out of the park!
Radar Speed: Just how fast was that fastball? Measure the speed of moving objects with a radar gun.
Fan Fingers: Make your own fan fingers to wear at the big game to say the Everett AquaSox are #1!
DIY Baseball Cards: Collectable by parents and grandparents! Create handmade cards to share and trade.
While at Imagine Children’s Museum, don’t forget to swing by Divy’s Food Truck on the 3rd floor for a bite to eat that will hit a home run! Check out Adventure Toys, next to the front desk, where all-star games and activities are always in stock.
