Calendar/Event Details

Join us for a fun Saturday in the heritage boat shop. The class will begin with a 45 minute orientation to the tools and skills required to build your "Captain's Key Hook". After orientation, you will dive in to the fabrication of your project. You will finish up by personalizing and embellishing your creations! Attendees will use water based adhesives, acrylic paint, miscellaneous fasteners, and light tools which may include sanders, drills, and handsaws.

This workshop is brought to you by Aaron Goodge of Toolbox Laboratories. Aaron has been a carpenter and woodworker for over 20 years. Designing and engineering creative hands on activities that incorporate STEAM, woodworking and craft are a passion of his. He loves offering equitable and accessible opportunities for learning and creativity to the community members of all ages. We're excited to bring these activities to the public at the Foss Waterway Seaport!
