Join us for an afternoon of brainy fun for all ages at PacSci. Explore hands-on activities, meet Allen Institute scientists and collaborators, learn about cutting-edge neuroscience research, and even touch a real brain!
Featured activities include:
- Join us for a special presentation with Allen Institute President and CEO Dr. Rui Costa at 1:30 p.m. on the Live Science Stage in Building 1
- Look at real mouse and human brain samples under a microscope
- Listen in on the electricity in your own nervous system and harness it to control a robotic claw
- Investigate the shapes of real brain cells and make your own pipe cleaner model to take home
- Compare different animal brains – including a T. Rex brain cast!
- Learn about Alzheimer’s disease and other brain conditions with real human brains from the UW Biorepository
- Meet neuroscientists from the Allen Institute and University of Washington
- BrainFest is included with general admission. A limited number of free general admission tickets will be given out at the door starting at 1 p.m. when BrainFest begins.
