The Friends of Lake Sammamish State Park’s annual beach bonfire and viewing of the lighted boat parade has been moved from this Saturday to Sunday due to inclement weather.
The fun begins at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 3, at Sunset Beach in Lake Sammamish State Park, 2000 N.W. Sammamish Rd., Issaquah. Beach bonfires will keep guests warm on the outside, while complimentary hot chocolate will keep everyone warm on the inside. The lighted boat parade is organized by Lake Sammamish Yacht Club.
Participants should wear warm clothes, sturdy shoes and gloves, bring a flashlight, a roasting stick for marshmallows and possibly a chair. We will also sing holiday songs together. This family-friendly event is free, but a Discover Pass is needed for vehicle access to the park. The event will wrap up by 6:00pm.
