The Deception Pass Dash is an intense 6+mile tidal race through the swirling current of Deception Pass near Oak Harbor, Washington for human-powered vessels; kayaks, canoes and SUPs. The challenging 6+ mile race course takes paddlers through the swirling waters of Deception Pass and you can watch it all from shore! The start line is at the Bowman Bay Boat Launch (part of Deception Pass State Park). Then hop in your car and drive up to the bridge parking area and watch the racers paddle underneath you as they navigate the most challenging section of their route - directly under the iconic Deception Pass Bridge. You'll want to dress warm for this outing, and be prepared for winter weather as you enjoy the progress of the paddlers beneath you.
