The annual Duwamish Tribe Princess Angeline Tea Party is a non-traditional offering featuring Jean Ramos's exclusive "sovereign tea", as well as thoughtfully selected green and black teas—paired with a special selection of hors d'oeuvres at our carefully crafted table settings.
The tea program will begin with a traditional blessing by Duwamish Tribe Chairperson Cecile Hansen, an update on the Duwamish Tribe's longstanding Federal Acknowledgment case, and a brief discussion on the importance and impact of native sovereignty from the Duwamish Tribe's government leadership.
In honor of Princess Angeline, we are donating $5 of each ticket sold to the nationwide initiative Missing Murder Indigenous Women (MMIW) through Women Spirit Coalition, a local organization dedicated to establishing and maintaining programs that support the safety of Native Women.
