Evening Low Tide Beach Exploration

Calendar/Event Details

Join us at Charles Richey Sr. Viewpoint in West Seattle for a fun evening of exploring the beach at low tide! Our beach naturalists can help you learn about our amazing intertidal neighbors, from shrimp and crabs to squid and sea stars. This is a free, all-ages event.

We recommend bringing a bright flashlight or headlamp, layering up to stay warm and wearing sturdy boots or shoes that have a good grip and can get wet. To help care for our marine environment, make sure to walk with gentle steps (there is life beneath your feet!) and observe animals where they are (that is their home!).

Look for our canopy at the corner of Beach Drive Southwest and 63rd Avenue Southwest.

Please note that there are no public bathrooms at this location. Parking is available on surrounding residential streets. Please be mindful to not block any driveways.
