Fall Foliage Day

Calendar/Event Details

Autumn marks one of the most significant seasonal transitions in bonsai, as the trees pull all their resources down into their roots and deciduous bonsai put on a colorful display. It is a fleeting moment to behold and enjoy. Come celebrate autumn and the changing of the seasons at Fall Foliage Day on Saturday, October 26.

Fall Foliage Day is an event we hold annually in conjunction with the Rhododendron Species Botanical Garden’s Fall Foliage Festival.

Saturday:

  • Bonsai on view with their adorable fall foliage
  • Pop-up shopping with a selection of Wazakura bonsai tools, kusamono, books, gifts, and more
  • Docent-led tour of the collection starting at 12 noon (meet next to our conservatory in our main courtyard)
  • FREE Admission to the Rhododendron Garden and their Fall Festival

This event is free and open to the public. As always, we are open with admission by donation to allow access to enjoy our bonsai for everyone regardless of their economic circumstances. If you can donate (either in person at the Museum or here) to support the care of our collection and access for all, thank you! The suggested donation amount for adults is $12.
