Join us for a hands-on story time all about shapes and colors. This story time is open to children of all ages, with experiences designed for children with sensory and learning differences.

This preschool-level story time is hosted by Autism-Ready Libraries from the University of Washington and is open to children of all ages, with experiences designed for children with sensory and learning differences. Stories, rhymes, and hands-on activities are presented in a welcoming environment for a positive story time experience. Accommodations will be available to meet a variety of sensory needs. Caregivers, please register each child you are bringing.  

Storytime schedule (30mins): 

00:00-02:00      Introduction 

02:00-05:00      Movement activity (Rhyme) 

05:00-10:00      Read-a-loud: Pete The Cat, I Love My White Shoes (Visual Story) 

10:00-20:00      Free choice learning stations (Blocks, coloring, and sensory bin activities) 

20:00-25:00      Wrap up & Clean up  

25:00-30:00      Goodbyes: The More We Get Together (Song)
