Financial Literacy for Families

Calendar/Event Details

It is never too early to start improving the financial literacy in your family.  More than 40% of Americans do not even have a savings account.

A great first step is covering the basics.  Join Jenny Ling, estate planning attorney, and Ginger Wasylik, Branch Manager at Homestreet Bank, at this free online event and refresh your own knowledge about financial literacy and how it can affect your family.

At this event, we'll cover:

  • The basics of building a budget
  • Financial tools and how to use them
  • Saving vs. investing
  • How estate planning can ensure your legacy lasts for generations
  • How to talk to your kids about money
  • What you need to know to turn your side-hustle into a business

At every stage of your family life you will encounter various challenges and rewards.  One of the most important things you can do to prepare for the live event you face is to plan ahead.

At The Law Offices of Jenny Ling, PLLC, our focus is on making sure you and your family are taken care of, whether it be estate planning, small business advising, kids protection planning, real property investing, or advising in times of financial distress. We call it planning for your legal life.

Jenny Ling focuses her practice on estate planning, real estate and business needs of her clients. She excels in guiding her clients through the often confusing maze of financial and legal decisions to create plans to ensure the well-being of their families and the accomplishment of cherished goals. Her considerable legal expertise includes family protection, wealth preservation, and values-based planning, as well as planning strategies for unmarried couples and divorced individuals.

After 23 years of experience in investments, Ginger Wasylik recently switched over to banking as the Branch Manager of the West Seattle HomeStreet Bank. Ginger has a strong desire to work and live and GIVE BACK to the community she has grown to love over the past 9 years. As the branch manager, she enjoys working closely with business owners in the West Seattle and surrounding areas, including Delridge, White Center, Burien, Georgetown and SODO.

Ginger is originally from Ohio where she completed her undergraduate work at Bowling Green State University. Once settling here in Seattle, she returned to school earning a Masters Degree in Organizational Leadership from Gonzaga University. She has worked in various capacities for such organizations as TIAA, Schwab and most recently, Morgan Stanley.

When Ginger isn’t at the bank, she enjoys working in the garden, creating collage and mixed media art, attending live music events and cheering The Ohio State Buckeyes on with her husband, Greg. While they don’t have kids, they do have 2 very bossy cats, Fu and Kuma.
