Guided Nature Walk: Backyard Bird Count

Calendar/Event Details

Each February, for four days the world comes together to admire birds during the Great Backyard Bird Count. Participants spend time in their favorite places observing and counting as many birds as they can find and report their findings. This helps scientists better understand global bird populations.

Come and join the naturalists at Shadow lake nature preserve to learn about birding, then put what you have learned into practice in this beautiful natural setting!

Guided nature walks happen rain or shine, so please dress to keep yourself warm and dry. We will walk slowly to allow time for observation, but the path is uneven or uphill in some places.

This is a free event, but please consider making a donation to help support our education and restoration efforts!
