Operation Gratitude: Capitol Hill’s Halloween Candy Buy-back
It’s October and Halloween is just around the corner! Normally, it’s difficult for orthodontists and dentists to get excited about that day, however, this year will be different.
We at the orthodontic office of Keith B. Wong, DDS, MS are excited to partner with Tully’s and the Capitol Hill community to give thanks to our brave men and women serving overseas. On the Saturday after Halloween, November 4th, from 11am to 2pm, trick-or-treaters can bring their extra candy to the Tully’s on the corner of 19th Avenue East and East Aloha Street and Dr. Wong and staff will buy it back for $1 per pound (5 pound maximum per person, please). The sweets will then be sent to Operation Gratitude in Van Nuys, California to be included in personalized holiday packages for our men and women in uniform.
In addition, individuals who give up their excess candy will receive “goody bags” containing gifts chosen to bring smiles to their faces (and to their dentists’ faces!).
