Celebrate Indigenous Peoples' Day with us!
Join and community partners, the Bainbridge Island Indopino Community, Bainbridge Island School District, Suquamish Tribe, City of Bainbridge Island, Washington, and the BISD Multicultural Advisory Council for a FREE community event at Woodward Middle School on Mon, Oct 14th! Celebrate Indigenous peoples, make a traditional musical instrument, create beautiful crafts, and learn about the history of the Nooksack tribe.
The event includes:
• Delicious frybread tacos by Shelly Price & IslandWood cookies and lemonade
• Local vendors with ribbon skirts, jewelry, cedar hats, weaving, and Honor Thy Mother merch
• 6pm Screening: "Honor Thy Mother: The Untold Story of Aboriginal Women and their Indipino Children"
Presentation honoring the contributions of the ethnic minority coalition and those who have gone before us
