Join the Squaxin Island Tribe and the City of Olympia to celebrate local Indigenous culture, history, and communities anticipated to span 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 14, 2024. The event will be held at Squaxin Park, 2600 East Bay Drive NE.
Indigenous Peoples' Day is a holiday that celebrates and honors Native American peoples and commemorates their histories and cultures. On Tuesday, October 8, the Olympia City Council will be joined by representatives from the Squaxin Island Tribe in consideration of a proclamation to recognize the October 14, 2024 holiday.
Indigenous Peoples' Day celebration attendees can look forward to cultural performances, speakers and educational activities. Families are welcome.
