Welcome to Jefferson County's Rhododendron Festival 2023! The Rhododendron Festival is celebrated in Port Townsend, WA every year during the third week of May.
Rhody Week Schedule of Events:
May 17th:
- 6:00 pm: Trike races begin on Water St. from Madison to Monroe
May 18th:
- 5:30 pm: Pet parade begins on Lawrence St. from Harrison to Quincy
May 19th:
- 3:30 pm: Kiddies parade begins on Lawrence St. from appx. Quincy to Jackson. Left on Jackson to Chetzemoka Park.
- 6:00 pm: Bed Races/Hair & Beard Contest judging
- 6:30 pm: Bed races on Water St. from Monroe to Madison
- 7:30 pm: Chautauqua Opening Ceremony at Pope Marine Park – Welcome Rhody Royalty, Chautauqua Teaser, Live Music
- 9 pm: Outdoor Movie “Chautauqua Shorts"
May 20th:
- 8:00 – 11:30 am – Elks Rhody Fundraiser Pancake Breakfast
- 8:00 am – 12:00 pm: Grand Parade registration at Visitor Center on Sims Way — Assembly uptown, per entry info
- 9:00 am – Rhody Patrons 9-Hole Scramble – PT Golf Course
- 12:30: Sunrise Rotary ‘Running of the Balls’, Monroe Street
- 1 pm: Grand Parade begins at Uptown to Downtown
- 3:00 pm-ish: Cake Picnic – Pope Park
- 3:00 – 7:00 pm: Rhody Run Registration – Floral Bldg., JeffCo Fairgrounds
- 5:00 – 7:00 pm: Spaghetti Feed at the Elks Lodge
- 7:00 pm: CHAUTAUQUA BIG SHOW at Fort Worden McCurdy Pavilion
MAY 21st:
9:00 am: Rhody Scholarship 18-Hole Best Ball – PT Golf Course
9:00 am: Rhody Run Begins – JeffCo Fairgrounds
