LCM+L Opens New, Permanent Apple Exhibit

Calendar/Event Details

The Living Computers: Museum + Labs (LCM+L) will be adding a new, permanent exhibit dedicated to the first two decades of Apple, which will open to the community on Friday, April 14. The exhibit does a great job visually telling the story of the early, intertwined history of Apple and Microsoft. The opening also coincides with the anniversary of the First West Coast Computer Faire, held back in 1977.

Included in the exhibit is the company’s first-ever product and ultimately the machine that led to the company’s global success, the original Apple I. The exhibit will not only host the only operable Apple I in the world that’s available for public use, but also display Steve Jobs’ original demo model that he used to take on the road, and was in his office until 1985.

These monumental machines will be joined by other iconic computers that paved the way for computer technology.
