MAKE BELIEVE SEATTLE is an imagination-focused film festival dedicated to the weird, wild, and wonderful. March 21-26, 2024 at Northwest Film Forum, The Erickson Theatre, and The Grand Illusion Cinema, and focuses on films that spark the imagination, like animation, sci-fi, horror, and fantasy. There are a few family/kid-friendly festival screenings including:
- Something Wicked This Way Comes - Disney’s 1983 film based on the Ray Bradbury novel. Suggested viewing ages: 10+
- Snick or Treat – Four Halloween episodes from TV shows that aired in the 1990s on Nickelodeon’s Saturday night program: SNICK. Suggested viewing ages: 9+
- The Concierge – A Japanese animated feature about an unusual department store that caters exclusively to animals. Suggested viewing ages 12+
Both Something Wicked and Snick or Treat are ‘pay what you can’ screenings.
