Mister G Concert + PJ Library Birthday Party

Calendar/Event Details

Latin Grammy-winning rock star and PJ Library recording artist MISTER G joins us for an all-ages concert and dance party at the J! Celebrate PJ Library’s 18th birthday with music, dancing, and party favors and treats. (Recommended for ages 3 and older.)

MISTER G (Ben Gundersheimer) is a Latin Grammy Award-winning artist, author, and educator. Hailed as “a bilingual rock star” by The Washington Post and “irresistible” by People magazine, he tours internationally playing everywhere from Lollapalooza and Lincoln Center to climate change rallies on Capitol Hill. An official partner of the United States Forest Service and the author of four multicultural picture books published by Penguin Random House, MISTER G’s stories and songs aim to help children see each other across borders and foster cross-cultural connections.

One of the most widely distributed Jewish artists, PJ Library commissioned MISTER G to create two albums of original music, “The Mitzvah Bus” (Parents’ Choice Gold winner) and “Seeds of Shalom” and a picture book, “Lilah Tov Good Night” (Penguin Random House, 2020). Whether writing in English, Spanish, Hebrew or Yiddish, MISTER G uses songs and stories as a unifying tool to build bridges between cultures and people.

For this fun PJ Library Birthday Dance Party, MISTER G is joined by his wife, MISSUS G. Tickets include PJ Library birthday treats (GF options), party favors, and juice boxes or applesauce pouches.

Concessions also available for sale. CD and book sales after the show.
In partnership with PJ Library and Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle.
