First, an Oxbow farmer will lead a conversation about tips and tricks to grow different varieties of the sometimes-elusive tomato plant. Then we'll move over to our outdoor kitchen where renowned Chef Seth Fernald will go over several different ways to prepare and eat this favored fruit.
All ages welcome!
Chef Seth is the Executive Chef at Farestart in their Community meals kitchen. His kitchen serves as many as 1000 meals per day based on food recovery to homeless shelters and mental health facilities in and around the Seattle area. Seth has partnered with Oxbow to build a kitchen in the middle of our farm, a long term dream of his, to ensure the ingredients are being used and have been harvested at the last possible minute in order to preserve the flavor and quality. You can taste more of his food at many of our events this year!
Accessibility
Oxbow has accessible parking and restrooms. If you have specific questions about accessibility, please reach out at events@oxbow.org.
