On October 4, Pike Place Market will celebrate a major milestone: the grand opening of the Overlook Walk, a new connection between Seattle's iconic waterfront and the Market. This innovative public space represents a huge moment for the city, creating a vibrant, walkable link between the shores of Elliott Bay and the historic Market, bringing residents and visitors closer to Seattle’s unique cultural epicenter.

Pike Place Market will host a lively celebration to mark this exciting occasion, bringing together local talent and showcasing the creativity that defines the Market community. From 2:00PM to 5:00PM, visitors can enjoy a variety of live performances and craft demonstrations, all set against the backdrop of the Market’s bustling atmosphere.

Live Market Busker Performances
The celebration will feature acoustic sets from three of the Market’s talented buskers:

2:00 – 3:00PM: Travelin’ Miles
3:00 – 4:00PM: Bob Goldstick 
4:00 – 5:00PM: Carly Ann Calbero

Craft Demonstrations
In addition to the music, visitors will have the chance to see Market artisans at work with live craft demonstrations:

Ritu Tilwani of Dot and Dimension will be demonstrating linocut printmaking.
Chris Scamehorn of CMS Ceramics will showcase his pottery techniques.

Photo Opportunities
To commemorate the opening, a special photo op will be available for visitors to capture their experience at this momentous event designed by Market artist Ernesto Ybarra.
