Proctor Blocks: Family Fun Day

Calendar/Event Details

Join us in the Proctor district on Friday, July 12 for a Family Fun Day!

Greentrike is partnering with the City of Tacoma and Mason United Methodist Church to host a family-friendly open streets event featuring engaging activities for children and youth of all ages.

Activities include a trike rodeo, music, interactive art, activities, picnic areas, street games, and community booths.

Bring your own picnic and trike!

Community booths sharing resources and facilitating family friendly activities include the Children's Museum of Tacoma, Tacoma Public Library, Asia Pacific Cultural Center, Bricks 4 Kids, Our Sisters House, Tacoma Tree Foundation, Safe Streets, Tacoma Music Academy, HopeSparks, AurPlace, Lindquist Dental Clinic, Tacoma Youth Symphony Association, Pierce Transit, Washington State History Museum, Craftopia, and more!

This event is part of the City of Tacoma's Neighborhood Planning Program's 2024 Proctor Blocks: Open Streets Event Series. This initiative is a direct response to community feedback during the creation of the Proctor Neighborhood Plan, and more than 700 community members voted to allocate the Neighborhood Planning Booster Grant funding toward this exciting project. Experience Proctor like never before as we close off select non-arterial streets to create vibrant, pedestrian-friendly spaces for activities and events.
