The Friends of the Issaquah Salmon Hatchery (FISH) will host the third annual Salmon on Sunset which will celebrate the adult salmon coming home! Presented by Juniper Capital, the event features the adult salmon up close as they travel to the Issaquah hatchery. There are plenty of activities planned for the whole family including food trucks, rubber duck derbies, live music, a FISH raffle, a beer garden and various local booths. Saturday, Sept. 14,10 a.m.–6 p.m.
The Issaquah Salmon Hatchery, nestled in the picturesque city of Issaquah, Washington, has become a shining example of salmon conservation and habitat restoration efforts. With a commitment to preserving the natural heritage of the region, the Friends of Issaquah Salmon Hatchery (FISH) provides educational opportunities for the local community through guided tours, classroom presentations & group demonstrations.
Attendees will be able to view salmon in the Issaquah Creek, listen to live music, feed the trout, make a salmon hat or fish mask as well as other family-friendly activities, the event is free for everyone.
