Saturday Family Concerts: R E P O S A D O and Jean-Paul Builes

Calendar/Event Details

It’s time for another Saturday Family Concert! Music brings us together and connection is essential to human experience. Bring the whole family to experience a musical journey with R E P O S A D O and Jean-Paul Builes!

For an interactive musical experience, hop on the “magic carpet,” a sacred space for individuals to express themselves. You’ll find that the music will magically respond to the rhythm of whoever is on the carpet!

R E P O S A D O combines jazz, Latin, Afro, and funk along with some of the traditional aspects of music from their Latin heritage. They hope to give kids access to the varied vibrations and styles within their music.

About Saturday Family Concerts

Saturday Family Concerts are specifically built for children to dance, play, and enjoy new music and art.

This half of the season, Town Hall Seattle and Northwest Folklife focus on the theme of Art as Empowerment, exploring how protest music liberates and validates identity. This 4-part series brings awareness to issues that affect everyone at any age, encouraging young people and families to explore their heritage — past, present and future — as a source for individual and collective identity.

As with all of our Saturday Family Concerts, this event is free for ages 22 and under.

Presented by Town Hall Seattle and Northwest Folklife. This event is supported by our media sponsor, Seattle’s Child.
